Terms of Service

RefurbSitter watches Apple's public refurbished Mac store (apple.com/shop/refurbished/mac) and alerts you when configurations matching your watches appear. Alerts are delivered by email, web push, ntfy, or webhook depending on your plan. RefurbSitter is an alert service only: it never buys on your behalf, never touches a cart, and every link goes to Apple's official product page.

Our monitoring uses only Apple's public pages: no login, no credentials, no circumvention, and we honor robots.txt and back off when Apple's servers ask us to slow down.

RefurbSitter is an independent service. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Apple Inc. Apple, Mac, and related marks are Apple Inc.'s trademarks, used here only to identify Apple's products.

The service is provided as-is. Refurbished stock is first-come, first-served and can sell out in minutes; an alert is not a guarantee you will get the Mac. Our published speed numbers are timestamped individual events, not averages or guarantees. Free-tier alerts are intentionally delayed about 15 minutes, as disclosed on the pricing page. Delivery can fail for reasons outside our control (mail filtering, push platform outages, your webhook endpoint being down).

You must be 18 or older and in the United States. You agree not to use RefurbSitter for anything unlawful, not to resell or redistribute alert data commercially, not to use alerts to operate a scalping or automated-purchasing operation, and not to probe, overload, or circumvent the service's infrastructure or rate limits. Violations can end your account without refund.

Current plans and prices are listed at refurbsitter.com/pricing. One-time passes grant access for the stated period and do not renew. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. All payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. Prices can change with notice, and changes never apply mid-period to an active plan.

Refunds: a one-time pass is refundable on request within 7 days of purchase if no alert matching one of your watches has been delivered to you in that time. A subscription's first charge is refundable on request within 14 days. An unwanted renewal charge is refundable if you ask within 7 days of the renewal. Billing errors are corrected if reported within 30 days. Ask at the contact below; we are reasonable people.

To the maximum extent Florida law permits, Sitter & Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including a missed purchase opportunity. Total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid RefurbSitter in the 90 days before the claim arose.

Your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. We never ask for or store Apple credentials.

We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms. We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after that is acceptance. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest stands. These terms are governed by Florida law, with disputes heard in Florida courts.
