How we measure

  • Source: RefurbSitter's polls of Apple's US refurbished store. Apple publishes no restock schedule.
  • A restock is a Mac part number that appears after being absent. Each color is its own part number.
  • The hour window is the shortest run of Eastern hours that holds at least half of the restocks.
  • Time in stock is the span from the first to the last poll that saw a listing, with polls at most 5 minutes apart. The real time can be a few minutes longer. A listing counts only when polls that did not see it bracket both ends, and we keep these measurements for about 14 days.
  • A part number that comes back within an hour of its last restock is not counted again.
  • We build a page only with at least 20 logged restocks, and hide it when our data is more than 2 hours old.
  • Alerts tell you a Mac is listed. They do not reserve it or guarantee checkout.
